Marie D. Jones has been involved with science, metaphysics and the paranormal in one way or another for most of her life, which led to a fascination with quantum physics and the writing of her popular and highly regarded book, “PSIence: How New Discoveries In Quantum Physics and New Science May Explain the Existence of Paranormal Phenomena.” Marie is also author of “2013: End of Days or a New Beginning – Envisioning the World After the Events of 2012,” which features essays from some of today’s leading thinkers and cutting edge researchers. She co-authored with her father, geophysicist Dr. John Savino, “Supervolcano: The Catastrophic Event That Changed the Course of Human History.” She is a New Thought/Metaphysics minister and spiritual counselor with a background in Metaphysical Studies. She worked as a field investigator for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) in Los Angeles and San Diego in the 1980s and 1990s and co-founded MUFON North County, and currently serves as a Consultant to ARPAST, the Arkansas Paranormal and Anomalous Studies Team.

Marie began her extensive writing career as a teenager writing movie and video reviews for a variety of national magazines, as well as short stories, including award-winning science fiction and speculative fiction for small press genre and literary magazines. She is now a widely published author with hundreds of credits to her name.

Her first non-fiction book, “Looking For God in All the Wrong Places,” was chosen as the “Best Spiritual/Religious Book of 2003” by the popular book review website, RebeccasReads.com, and the book made the “Top Ten of 2003” list at MyShelf.com. Marie has also co-authored of over three-dozen inspirational books for Publications International/New Seasons, including ”100 Most Fascinating People in the Bible,” “Life Changing Prayers,” and “God’s Answers to Tough Questions” and her essays, articles and stories have appeared in “Chicken Soup for the Working Woman’s Soul,” “Chicken Soup to Inspire a Woman,” “If Women Ruled the World,” “God Allows U-Turns,” “UFO Magazine, ”The Book of Thoth,” “Paranormal Magazine,” “Light Connection Magazine,” “Alternate Realities,” “Unity Magazine,” “Whole Life Times,” “Science of Mind Magazine” and many others. She is also a popular book reviewer for such websites as BookIdeas.com and CurledUp.com.

She has a history of political activism, from her years as the former Co-founder and President of the Animal Welfare Coalition and former Vice President of PETA San Diego, to her current positions as President of Progressive Democrats of America’s San Diego chapter and alternate delegate to the California State 74th AD.

Her background also includes over 15 years in the entertainment industry, as a promotions assistant for Warner Bros. Records, film production assistant, and script reader for a variety of film and cable TV companies. She has also been an optioned screenwriter, and has produced several nationally distributed direct-to-video projects, including an award-winning children’s storybook video.

In her capacity as an author and researcher, Marie has appeared at several major conferences, including CPAK and the Queen Mary Ghost Hunting Weekend. She has been interviewed on over 100 radio talk shows and in dozens of newspapers, magazines and online publications all over the world. She lives in San Marcos, California with her son, Max.
