Why do EMF detectors register ghosts and not people? Does our energy change its composition when it leaves the body? Maybe these things never were human. The flashlight confuses me also. What does it do?

There are a lot of reasons that it could be.
I don't believe it reads a ghosts energy. I think it's more likely that it reads a change that comes about like ripples in a pond when you drop a rock in water.

Thanks for the reply. I had to mull that one over for awhile.. So,the EMF detector measures disturbances in the magnetic field and not the amount of energy given off?

Think about it this way. If you have a natural EMF and you stand facing north, and then step sideways to the east, it goes off. Not because there is a new field, but because there has been a change in the field.

If a spirit tries to manifest or move, and its existence on this plain is attached via fields of energy, what do you think that would do to your EMF meter when that happens?

Again this is a theory, and just the start of one for that matter, it just makes more sense to me.

Just like I don’t believe ghost drain our batteries to manifest, but the battery drain is a side affect of positively charged ion fields created by the presents of spirits.

I like to try and think outside the pine box.

Thanks for answering my EMF question with answers that gave me more questions. lol

I always wondered why investigators didn't bring car batteries to a haunted location to encourage activity. Or maybe the do? I like your theory.

It's always better to be on the outside of a pine box.

Alright, I have this problem with curiosity. Do you think intelligent hauntings are other dimensional beings? I lean that way. I hate to think that in my afterlife I'd become a boogie man lurking in dark shadows. Twisted Evil

No, I believe even intelligent haunts are only an Echo of ourselves. Energy that is left behind of what we were, but not us.

I have witnessed a residual haunting of children whom I know to be very much alive. So I know our energy can collect and replay itself even if we are not yet dead. But I could not interact with it. Ghosts can.

I had a ghostly interaction when I was about 13. My sister, then 8 years old, and I were left alone in the house one evening. we were rough housing and having a real good time when we noticed a noise coming from the basement. We went to the stairway and looked down. It was pitch black. The house I grew up in was very old. It had a giant octopus like converted coal furnace. Behind that was the old coal room where we put all our Christmas and Easter decorations. Something was in there, throwing things around, but they didn't bother to turn on the light. I called out "Is anybody down there?" and from the bottom stairs (not the coal room) a voice said "Yesss." (notice the extra S's). Only one word I know. but it had a profound effect. We locked the Stairway door, closed the kitchen door and put a chair under the door knob. My point is the thing understood and answered me. Do you think our ghost echo can interact?

You guys should talk about that "Ovilus" thing going around. I don't know if that's spelled right but we've been talking about it on the Michigan's Otherside forums and they said it was on "Paranormal State" or something. Plus, Gowin and Tim have one and were talking about the thing on their show. I guess it speaks to you depending on EMF frequencies or something wild like that.

yea i think its got like settings you can use but if im not mistaken (which i very well might be) it speaks out random words from the dictionary according to emf readings.....or something to that effect...
