Late this summer the family and I will have a long lay over in Seattle, and I have been trying to decide if our time would be better spent touring the Seattle Underground or just relaxing in a Starbucks. Have you ever taken the tour (or know someone that has) and is it worth the time and money?

I've never gotten to go, but I've always wanted to. If only for the history it would be worth it. If you have the time with out having to rush or you'll miss you plain I would go underground. That sounds great.

either ghostly stuff or starbucks... hmm.. heh. I would choose just about anything over starbucks.

There are a lot of interesting things in seattle, never did the underground, but it's on my list to do next time there. There are some interesting "haunted" buildings that have restaurants in seattle that are worth the energy to check out.

I mean, just walking around pikes place at sundown is cool enough.

isn't the seattle museum of mysteries open? never been, but always wanted to look into it.

Yep skipping Starbucks would be my choice also. I believe we have about a 6 hour lay over. We will be coming in by ship and I think the dock is about a mile from the underground tour. I'll have at least my wife and 15 year old son along with me and probably a 17 year old nephew if we do the underground tour.
