LADIES LOVE CHRIS SARANDON.
Alison Parker is a top NYC model coping with demons from her childhood. She moves into an old apartment building hoping to regain some of her independence only to find that the tenants of her building are lost souls trying to bring Hell on earth.
The usual, right?
In the highest floor apartment, a blind, decrepid priest sits vigil at his window possibly holding the truth to the bizarre occurrences Alison encounters. As the movie unfolds, Alison isn't quite sure whether the sketchy images around her are in her head or actually kamikaze spirits.
AHHH.... this is one of those great cult flicks.
The story is extremely simplistic with no suspenseful twists, but it's the filler from A to B that makes this a must watch. There are little moments where you can't believe you're actually seeing what's happening on screen. Birthday parties for dead cats and sex-crazy, cake eating fathers add a layer of psychoticness that makes you laugh with glee.
Ready for a bonus?
There's something cool you can do while watching this film. Catch all the celebrity cameos to add romping amusement to your viewing. It's chock full of people like: Chris Sarandon, John Carradine, Beverly D'Angelo, Jerry Orbach, Jeff Goldbloom, Tom Berringer and Christopher Walkin. Good Times.
The acting is a riot and each character's quirks are so crazy and lovable you just fall right in. Burgess Merideth is absolutely fantastic and basically his part is just nutty enough to please.
This film is entertaining, crazy and full of nasty little goodies. Don't watch it expecting to see explosions or lots of action. It's a great little sleeper film.
SHAUN ALERT!!!
There is an on top of clothes masturbation scene involving Beverly D'Angelo. Rather odd to see the future Mrs. Griswold in such a way.
Check this film out if you're looking for a good time. And just think, this good time comes without the crabs.
