I'm not talking about feeling something in another room, or maybe seeing a orb float past granny in a photo. Hearing someone say your name could be creepy but that's on a 2 out of 10 creepy scale. I'm wanting to hear the true nitty gritty hairs on the back of your neck stand up awesome paranormal stories!
I'm asking you is there something that happened in your life that strikes you as something that is almost beyond belief?
I mean have you ever seen a ghost? Like a full on "holy crap that was a ghost" ghost?
Ever see a Shadow Creature/person?
Bigfoot ever been spotted eating out of your garbage can?
Aliens probe you?
I just wanna here your tales!
I'll share mine a little bit later. _________________ EVP scare me... seriously, I scream like a little girl. But, don't laugh, I'm a big guy, I could, in theory hurt you. |

I've had a 8.5 on the holy crap meter when it comes to seeing a Shadow person and a 5 when I saw a ghost.
I've also seen a UFO though I can't say it was aliens. _________________ Thinking outside the Pine Box... |

I'd give my little shadow guy a 8 or 9. I got a good look at him.
Not to change the subject, but, whats the difference between a shadow man an a ghost? what would my 4ft black thing that ran across the front of a stage be classified as? _________________ life is Messy |

That's the beautiful thing about this field. No one can really give you a solid answer.
some people will tell you what it is, but remember, it's just what they think it could be. There isn't a old leather bound book someplace that has the descriptions of all the things that go bump in the night. Boy, sometimes I wish there was though... of course sometimes I like to remember that it's just a mysterious field and me not knowing is part of why i like it as much as I do.
Ghosts tend to be something more along the lines of identifable as a human (past and sometimes living). Often times they don't interact with people, but might simply be some sort of repeating memories without any sort of logic or congiscent thought. There have been many ghosts that have interacted, so don't get me wrong there.
Spirits is the vague description of an entity that might have been a human, an animal, or something that might not have ever lived at all.
The Shadow People are a classification all to themselves. They don't seem to be ghosts, but entities that look to be aware of what is going on around them. interacting, avoiding, or sometimes attacking the living. These seem to be something all to themselves by most tales. (i'm sure there are the ghostly shadowy images that cross over). But a real Shadow Person seems to be something on to itself. Often times they have seen to have red eyes, wearing hats, etc.
Again.. this isn't an exact science, and what I said is only what I have heard and what the current understanding of the field seems to be. For all we know, it could simply be unknown creatures that live in a plasmonic state that pop in when the weather is just right. Or, we can blame it on britney spears.
Who knows.
Can you tell the story, i'd love to hear about what you saw! _________________ EVP scare me... seriously, I scream like a little girl. But, don't laugh, I'm a big guy, I could, in theory hurt you. |

I really enjoyed your reply. If you write a book and bind it in leather I'll be sure to buy it.
My wife and I went to the "Dead of Winter" film festival at the Lincoln theater in Decatur Illinois. We were in the mezzanine. It was just after the lunch break and they were beginning to introduce the next movie when my wife and I noticed a black form about 3 to 4 feet tall run very rapidly in front of the stage. It reached the stairs and started to go up, then disappeared. We sat up and at the same time said "Did you see that."
We looked around to see if anyone else had noticed, There was no reaction. We later reasoned that the people on the main floor may not have seen it because of the orchestra pit wall. The view in the balcony would be obstructed by the railing.
I suppose it was more cool than scary. I've had several experiences with "ghostly" things but I hadn't seen one before. It was the highlight of the evening. _________________ life is Messy |
